How Steam XP works

Steam levels get more expensive as you climb. Every 10 levels, the XP needed for the next level goes up by 100.

Craft a trading card badge and you get 100 XP. From level N, the next level costs (floor(N ÷ 10) + 1) × 100 XP.

So levels 0-9 cost 100 XP each, 10-19 cost 200, 20-29 cost 300, and it keeps climbing. From scratch, level 50 is about 15,000 XP (roughly 150 sets). Level 100 is about 55,000 XP (around 550 sets).

Plug your numbers into the calculator above, or dig into the XP guide and cost guide.
